Bran Redmaw has been spotted at UK Games Day 2011.He looks very Norse, very hairy and seems to be covered in all sorts of Norse style runes.
Bran also appears to be on a terminator sized base. Very interesting...
Will there be a 'wulfen' version of Bran Redmaw? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Either way, I think I'll buy this.
EDIT: and that was Games Day UK 2011. What jip! Glad I didn't go.

THAT is a freaking Space Wolf! That is what the plastics SHOULD have looked like, I was severely dissapointed with the current kits when they came out. If FW releases more like this for power armor I'm gonna have to rebuy a lot of my army.

I'm crossing my fingers for a FW space wolves conversion kit with the wolf head backpacks and more...wolfy bits!

life is good! Fenris Hjolda!:)

Are we sure he's in power armour? He looks like he's got a suit of scout Carapace on him there.

Will be buying a couple of these for converting...

Thank you Forge World. A model that I can say is possibly the most definite purchase I'll ever make for the hobby. Just need to the see the alleged wulfen version now.
Here's hoping for some FW conversion kits too. I do like the new kits, but there's way too many blood claw style hairstyles in it for my tastes. Especially when you're going to play GHs over BCs every time.

Yup. That's gonna hurt my wallet. One to have & 1 for conversion. Hopefully there are a few more new models to go with this. Don't cross my fingers let alone my toes very often but that's promising.

For the record, there are also rules in IAAv2 for Space Wolves-specific Contemptor Dreadnoughts, including unique Sagas and SW wargear for them.

The kegs on it are weird and nit power armour which is a shame. they must have someone new sculpting Space marines
September 25, 2011 3:52 PM
This is good. Now I don't need to do a conversion for my SW being that they are his great company

Hey Adam, there's a wolf-head backpack and other wolfy goodness on the Accessories Frame from GW already.

One-handed axes, wolfy torsos and heads and an extra melta!
Sounds like just what you were looking for.
Bran Redmaw does look like he's wearing Scout gear. Maybe his special rules will let you take Wolf Scouts as scoring units?
September 25, 2011 4:26 PM
A better special rule for him would be allowing more Wulfen to be taken
September 25, 2011 4:46 PM
@TheBear - would you pay £6 per backpack? I certainly wouldn't.
September 25, 2011 5:28 PM
I asked them about making more space wolf models / lords - said not for a long while after this guy :/ still, pretty badass

Bran Redmaw is a FW mini worth buying...must start working OT to get more money for this and hopefully other SW goodness from FW! FENRIS HJOLDA!
September 26, 2011 12:41 AM
both wolfen and normal are being sculpted by FW. There was an interview back at the GD in the states where FW confirmed it
September 26, 2011 1:14 AM
So what are the rules regarding FW minis? im new to the hobby and just got my first two boxes of grey hunters and logan grimnar (all of which are still being played with reguarding paints). what do you use for rules with this guy and how do forge world conversion kits and the like work?

Hi, I spoke to both the designer of Bran (Mark Bedford) and the rules writer at Games Day. Bran in both Rune armour and Wulfen form will be out around Christmas time. He has separate stats for his two forms. In his Wulfen form he has the special wufen rule for D6+1 attacks plus he is a monstrous creature! He confers special rules too, including giving one greyhunter pack behind enemy lines. He is on a terminator base due to the size of his wulfen form.

Hi I read some of his draft rules at GD from IA 11 and one rule is u fail a wound test that occurs every turn he goes warewolf and ends up ws7 s6 etc and gives army wide scouts and something else from memory
September 26, 2011 12:39 PM
There is no blade on his axe though, looks more like a rounded thunderhammer.
September 28, 2011 7:52 AM
Yeah, that axe is pretty dull. Maybe sculpt an edge with green stuff and hone it down?
