Checkout these Space Wolves conversions! I'm really pleased with these, so I had to post them right away.The guy with the massive axe is a Rune Priest while the guy with the double-handed crozius is a Wolf Priest.
I've been having problems finding the right models for my Space Wolves characters, especially when I want 3 Wolf Priests and 4 Rune Priests in the army. There simply aren't enough suitable models from Games Workshop. So I've opted to make my own from a blend of Space Wolves and Chaos Warrior boxed sets.
Once you know what you're doing it's surprisingly easy. The Wolf Priest took about 2 hours, because I wasn't sure what I was doing, but the Rune Priest took about half an hour.
It's conversions like this that make you so appreciative of all the accessories included in the Space Wolves sprue, because you need them to cover up some really nasty joins.

I did a similar crozius for my Wolf priest. I cut the power axe head off right below the hand (where that ring of metal above the cross-hatching is) and mounted that standard top to it. I did however carefully trim off the excess "bling"; the teeth/claws and runestones. So he looks like he's holding a one-handed crozius across his chest and he's got a bolt pistol in the other hand. Came out really well, I think.

Nicely done! I've seen this type of conversion done before but not as well as this. Did you have to file down the backs of the cloaks to get the powerpacks on them?

OSH, spot on. I actually scraped off a load of fur with a knife to get a flat surface for the back pack to stick to.

I actually took this conversion to the next level, I hollowed out the center and replaced it with a space marine chest plate. It worked really well, I'll take some pics.
