Brads Space Wolves Update

In the snowy wastes of Bradimus' back yard the Space Wolves of Task Force Jorgmundr stalk their prey in preparation for the battle of Vapnartak!

With the exception of Ulf the Horrible my Rune priest my 1000 point army is painted, the plan is to get Ulf painted on Friday evening when I have a bit of time. As I've already stated I would have liked to spend a bit more time painting these guys but I plan to go back to them in the future and do a better job highlighting and finish off the details.

Each of my packs has an individual pack marking on the right shoulder pad whilst the white Morkai shoulder pad unites them as a single battle force.

I am really pleased with the look of the army and I cant wait to upgrade it to 1500 points and beyond.

My inspiration for the scheme was the art work from our beloved codex and think I managed to produce a very good likeness to those marines on that cover.

I did have a go at free handing the Grey Hunter symbol on top of the Rhinos. I suck at freehand and although these things are okay, I've got a long way to go before trying something more complex.

Next week I will treat you guys to the four battle reports from Vapnartak with plenty of pictures and a review of the event.

I am really looking forward to this event not only for the games but the opportunity to meet new opponents and hopefully see some lovely armies.

Well may I be the first to congratulate you on your hard work.
I love the look of the models and the slate bases too.
Damn I seriously need to get some work done on my boys.

Cheers for the post.

Loving the fact you braved the cold Yorkshire weather to get them photographed on real snow.

I look forward to meeting you in the flesh bright and early Sunday morning.

This is a really nice looking army. I like how he's gone for something more like what's on the cover of the codex rather than yellow shoulder pads and stuff. Looks more realistic. Great work. The tanks have great marking too. Ever consider doing weathering on your tanks?

Thanks for the comments guys :)

@ OSH. Its funny you should mention that I've been looking at the guides on the Painting Corps blog thinking to myself that I may have a go at that at a later date.

@Scuzz. Same here mate, though I'm not sure how bright I will be early morning ;)
