GW have released a massive Space Wolves FAQ and Errata.

Updated: 15th January 2011

Good stuff so go and grab yourself a copy.

Bradimus Prime said... January 7, 2010 4:05 PM: I'm very pleased about that this has been released its a big "Shut yer mouth" to a lot of anti SW players out there.
They clarified the Thunderwolf toughness thing which is a big one along with Jaws of the Wolrd Wolf.
I find the outflanking WGBL Q&A very interesting basically if you declare your Scouts are "outflanking" he can join them but not if you declare a "Behind enemy lines". This opens up a few extra options and tactics.

This FAQ pleases me!

I'm pleased to see that Saga of the Beast Slayer is in effect against models with a boosted toughness of 5, such as Space Marine Bikes.
Skcuzzlebumm said... January 7, 2010 6:24 PM: Overall the FAQ looks good. Some of the questions are IMO a bit obvious, others are quite poorly worded but in general its good common sense.

One problem though.

The ruling on Furious Charge when Counter Attacking.

They state the clear ruling of the Counter Attack rules but then just wing it.

The wording and rule was fine and clear before. This is just someone looking for and gaining a ruling that isn't there.

(exits rant mode before he continues)

Anyways off to GT Doubles this weekend so will see what others in the beardy tourney fraternity make of it.
Ryan said... January 8, 2010 1:18 AM: So, would this make a WL set up a bit different? Replace a Wolf Claw with a Frost weapon (for the +1S, while keeping the power weapon bonus), and add in the Wolftooth Necklace (to help make up for the loss of the re-rolls granted by the claw)?
Bradimus Prime said... January 8, 2010 4:53 AM: Well a Frost Blade is classed as a power weapon anyway so yes adding a Wolf Tooth Necklace does make your Frostblade toting bad ass hit more often.

Anonymous said... January 21, 2010 12:25 AM: They still didn't proof read the errata. Duplicated the Page 37 fix twice. You cant replace 'squads' with 'units' after the errata has already told you to call it units.
Sir Biscuit said... April 3, 2010 12:30 PM: Just wanted to say, this is not the most recent version of the FAQ. They reversed the ruling on Ragner being able to grant Furious Charge on a counter attack, here's a link to the current FAQ:
